SEND Program Objectives
Through lecture, presentation, self-reflection, small and large group dialogue, experiential exercises and assigned reading, writing and study, participants will:
- Understand and apply personality theory in their own work and in their work with others.
- Understand developmental stage theory from a psychological and spiritual perspective.
- Understand eastern energy principles using the seven chakra model.
- Understand their personal life history and its impact on current life experiences using the Life Mapping™ process.
- Understand intergenerational patterns and implications of family genogram.
- Understand the interrelationship between mind, body, emotions and spirit and its impact on their work, relationships, and health.
- Understand states and levels of consciousness.
- Recognize archetypal patterns and life scripts and the limits and opportunities they create.
- Recognize metaphors, patterns, and symbols as a frame of reference for expanding consciousness.
- Recognize universal spiritual principles as they apply to personal development and professional growth.
- Recognize the roots of stress and its impact on integrated health and development.
- Experience art, writing, music, poetry and intuition as pathways for higher consciousness and integrated awareness.
- Experience body focusing and movement as self awareness and centering practices.
- Experience grounding, centering, prayer, and meditation practices and their impact on personal and professional health and resilience.
- Appreciate and support the experience of the sacred in their personal life and in their professional work with others.
- Develop a network of support and connection with cohort members from many professional experiences and disciplines.
- Celebrate experiences of deep meaning, connection and purpose in their work of service.
